The Natural Resources Institute, as part of the University of Greenwich, is a partner in the London Interdisciplinary Doctoral Programme (LIDo) funded by the UK Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC). This exciting consortium between eight London and specialist institutions provides students a unique opportunity to pursue innovative interdisciplinary research projects.
Within this partnership, outstanding students can apply through the DTP-Route and undertake two four-month rotations in their first year before choosing their final PhD project, or apply through the iCASE-Route with an industrial collaborative project.
Places on either route are highly competitive, but a limited number of places provide full scholarships to international students. LIDo is currently closed for applications, but it is likely that the window for preliminary applications for PhDs starting in autumn 2025 will open in the autumn of 2024. Potential students must apply through the LIDo website and follow instructions carefully.
