Our MBiol Biology degree offers an immersive and dynamic exploration into the captivating processes of life.

This programme, co-delivered by the Natural Resources Institute with the School of Science, provides you with a multidisciplinary understanding of biology, exploring diverse topics ranging from biomolecules to whole ecosystems, evolutionary theory alongside cutting-edge molecular techniques, microbes through to plants, animals, and humans.

You will be taught by world-leading experts from across the globe, with our own NRI team leading modules in ecology, animal physiology, plant biotechnology and many more. Through our programme, you design your curriculum to become the kind of biologist you wish to be, whether that is focusing on the molecular level, on the environment, or mixing and matching studying disease with learning to produce ecological models in R (a programming language to create and analyse ecological models). No matter where your specific interests lie, you’ll be able to pursue those in Biology.
